As a volunteer or parent or guardian of volunteer of Hope Horizon, I agree to the following 1) Standards of Conduct 2) Media Release Form Standards of Conduct
Respect Hope Horizon’s Christian foundation • Not teach, guide, or instruct youth/children contrary to generally accepted Christian doctrines, based on the Holy Bible.
Model and promote healthy lifestyles: • Not use illegal drugs or abuse alcohol. • Not teach, guide, or instruct youth/children in such a way as to affirm the use of illegal drugs, the abuse of alcohol, gang involvement, truancy from school, or any criminal activity. • Not endorse nor promote sexual activity outside of marriage.
Respect the children/youth: • Respect the race, culture, and nationality of others, especially of Hope Horizon East Palo Alto participants.• Maintain verbal self-control and refrain from using profane or offensive language, condescension, abusive language, or any “put-downs,” when interacting with youth/children in Hope Horizon East Palo Alto programs. • Not make any physical contact in a discipline-related situation with youth/children or as part of disciplining. • Not become romantically or sexually involved with any Hope Horizon youth/child.
Be a team player: • Be willing to submit to the authority of Hope Horizon East Palo Alto and that of Hope Horizon East Palo Alto supervisor. • Follow through consistently on commitments made to Hope Horizon East Palo Alto and inform supervisor of any inability to volunteer prior to the scheduled time if at all possible.

Recognizing that all content forms listed below are strictly for the purpose of promoting Hope Horizon East Palo Alto and its programs, I permit Hope Horizon East Palo Alto to use any photographs, video images, and/or audio sounds of the volunteer for the purpose of promoting Hope Horizon East Palo Alto and its programs, and I forfeit the right to compensation for any of the above.
